Porter's 4th Birthday Party
2010-06-15 (Tuesday) 12:31 CDT
We celebrated Porter's 4th birthday at Chuck E Cheese with some of his closest
friends. Porter had the best time playing with all his friends and riding in
the blue car. Grandma B brought an awesome Lightening McQueen cake and Chuck E
Cheese adorned Porter with a special token crown and gold medalion. Porter was
a little overwhelmed by the ticket booth, but scored with obtaining about 200
tickets. After the party, we celebrated with family at our house. It was a
funfilled day in honor of our sweet Porter. Click

Porter's T-ball Season 2010
2010-06-15 (Tuesday) 12:30 CDT
Porter is participating in his first team sport, T-ball. Porter shows effort
at the games when at bat, and according to dad, he makes good contact with the
ball. However, Porter is not that into the sport of baseball. He would rather
me playing on the playground or just simply drawing pictures in the dirt. I
gave it an effort, but not sure that baseball is going to be Porter's game of
choice. He does look awfully cute in his hat and white pants though. Since
Porter has watched Cam play so many soccer games this past year, he may be more
inclined to want to join a soccer team in the fall. We will see.
May Updates
2010-06-15 (Tuesday) 12:28 CDT
May started with a trip I made with my mom and sister, Emily, to Wisconsin to
visit my cousins and Great Aunt and to run my 5th marathon in Kenosha,
Wisconson on May Day. Matt and the boys spent a weekend together at home. Here
is a link to a picture of me and two cousins, Nick and Nate, at the Kenosha,WI.
One of my favorite things to do with the boys in May is run the annual Turkey
Creek 5k and fun run the third weekend of May. They have a big festival in the
park where we spend the rest of the day. The good news of this day, is I won
overall female in the 5K, and Cam and Porter completed their run without rain.
The bad news is the rain started shortly after the races and lasted the entired
day. We attended the festival for a brief time only to complete Home Depot
projects under a shelter and ride the train around the lake before heading home
to stay dry the rest of the day.
The weekend before the festival was Mother's Day weekend. The boys pampered me
with breakfast in bed and a bouquet of roses. I suppose since it was my day to
relax, there were no pictures taken that day except for the ones I took at
church that morning of Cam singing a really nice animated song to all the
Mothers at church that morning.
