Happy Thanksgiving
2007-11-21 (Wednesday) 11:48 CST

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family!

Cameron had a Thanksgiving feast at preschool yesterday. The Room 4 Pilgrims invited the Room 3 Indians to join them in turkey, corn, juice, and pumpkin cake. Cameron was so excited to stay and eat lunch with his classmates. He made a decorative Indian vest with a "Little Brave Cameron" head piece with his class. I really love how his teachers celebrate and make each holiday fun and exciting for the kids.

Mom's First Marathon
2007-11-03 (Saturday) 23:10 CDT

I ran my first marathon in Kansas City in October. I finished with a time of 3 hours and 27 minutes. It was so encouraging to have Matt and the boys out to watch my pace as I progressed through the race. It was one of the most difficult challenges I have experienced. Although it was tough and the training was even more grueling, I am already planning when I will run my next one.

Fall Fun

Cameron and Porter visited Deanna Rose Farmstead with some friends earlier this fall. Cameron is pictured with his new friend, Ashlen. Ashlen's mom and dad work with Matt. Ashlen has a baby sister, Amerie, not pictured.

Grandpa and Aunt Emily visited in October and we all went to Powell Gardens to tour the dinasours exhibit. It was a lot of fun and educational. The dinasours were made to scale and very lifelike. Cameron and Porter had a good time digging for fossils, playing in a treehouse, and visiting the chapel as well. It was a beautiful day and we all had good time.

Peachtree Farms Pumpkin Patch is located East of Columbia. It is a cute farm, featuring a hayride, a haystack maze, and farm animals. They had the best selection of pumpkins. We picked three nice orange pumpkins and one white pumpkin. This was another nice day we spent with Grandma (of course I didn't get a good picture of Grandma with the boys this time, they would not cooperate, but we WILL get a picture of grandma on the website soon). We also went out to a huge corn maze on the other side of Columbia, but that was way too much walking for the boys.

We traveled up North, which I rarely do, to Country Cousins Pumpkin patch with our friends, Mason and Janice. The kids wore themselves out. There was a train ride, a hayride to a pumpkin patch, corn maze, tricycles, and much more. We had so much fun and the weather was perfect. The pumpkin doughnuts weren't too bad either. It was worth driving a few extra miles.
