Porter kidding around
2008-11-09 (Sunday) 19:59 CST

Tonight I fixed Porter some tater tots (among other things) for dinner. While they were cooking, he ran around the house with Cam and lost his milk cup (just like every night). Then, after he had eaten some tots, he asked for his milk. I told him he would have to look for it himself. But he came back proclaiming, "I can't find my milk." Then Cameron helped him look and they started playing again, and before I knew it Porter ran back to my side and said, "I can't find my tater tots ... ha ha I'm just kidding!" (Not long after that, he found the milk cup.)

Toy Story Halloween
2008-11-07 (Friday) 11:41 CST

It all started when I found a Woody costume for Porter after the costumes were on clearance after Halloween last year. I thought this may be the last year I can dress them in theme without a fuss. So, I started looking for a Buzz costume over the summer and realized that this was not going to be easy or cheap (especially not as cheap as the $5 Woody costume). But ebay came through and I ordered Cam's size, which gave no room for growth, so it was going to be this Halloween or never. Then, Cam started throwing fits about wanting to be Darth Vader, a cowboy, a pirate (again). Come Halloween we compromised and they were the cutest Buzz and Woody I have ever seen. Cam's school had a Halloween parade, where the above pictures were taken. On Halloween day, it was 70 degrees for our annual Halloween party, so the Buzz costume was a bit uncomfortable to run around outside during the party, so Cam wore one of his policeman dress up costumes, so he could carry handcuffs and holster. The party turned out great and the weather was so nice for all the outdoor Halloween games. Here are a few pics from the party. Cam and Porter once more appeared in their Toy Story apparrel for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood in record highs in the 60's for the much anticipated night of the year. It was so nice not to be freezing or raining. When we finally got to bed that evening, Cameron said "Next year I want to be Darth Vader and I want Porter to be Luke". Hmmm, should I try that again?

Mining for Treasures
2008-11-07 (Friday) 10:57 CST

Cameron has found a new obsession recently with finding lost treasures. He now hides stones, fake coins, and other trinkets around the house. He becomes extremely irritated if someone removes the treasures from his desired locations. So, what better way to support this new creative play then to go mining for crystals and colored stones at Deanna Rose. Cameron loved the idea. Porter needed a lot of help and mostly got soaked, but it was a nice warm day. We had the park almost to ourselves this late in the day and season. The boys burned off a lot of excess energy and fell asleep on the carride home.

5 Little Pumpkins
2008-11-07 (Friday) 10:30 CST

On an Autumn day in October, we ventured to a pumpkin patch just outside the city with some friends. We had a picnic, hayride, trainride, tricycle rides, slides, haystack maze, and more. I love this time of year with cooler temps and bright colors of orange, yellows, and golds. Below are some of my favorite pictures from the day:
